Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 August 2026

In short: Clipper does everything on your device. It has no servers and does not send your screenshots or browsing data to us or anyone else.

What Clipper does

Clipper is a Chrome extension that captures a full-page screenshot of the web page you are viewing when you click its toolbar icon (or use its keyboard shortcut / right-click menu). It scrolls the page, captures each section, and stitches them into a single image you can view, annotate, download as PNG or JPEG, or export as a PDF.

What data is processed

Permissions and why they are needed

PermissionWhy Clipper needs it
activeTabTo capture the page in the tab you are viewing — only after you invoke Clipper.
scriptingTo run the measuring / scrolling routine on that page during capture.
storageTo save your settings and the last capture's metadata on your device.
offscreenTo stitch the captured sections into one image using an offscreen canvas.
contextMenusTo add the right-click “Capture full page with Clipper” menu item.

Clipper does not request broad “read and change your data on all websites” host access. It only acts on the tab you explicitly invoke it on.

Children's privacy

Clipper is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
